Transportation is available to the Centers with scheduled stops at the grocery store and pharmacy.  The Council also offers assistance in arranging medical transportation.  A wheelchair lift van is available for those unable to travel by car.  Contact Jeannie Ellington, Nutrition Program Manager, or Evelyn White, Volunteer Coordinator, at 542-4512.

Whether your question is about nutrition, in home assistance, transportation, or caregiver support, the Council on Aging will help you find the answer.

Designated by the Chatham County Commissioners as the single portal of entry for services to older adults, our goal is to provide programs and services to assist older adults in maintaining quality of lie and independence at home.  We work in partnership with many Chatham County service providers as well as independent adult care providers.

The Western Chatham Senior Center in Siler City and the Eastern Chatham Senior Center in Pittsboro provide a full range of activities, wellness and exercise programs, nutritional programs and disease management education, as well as support for seniors and their families and caregivers.  All of the Council's services and programs are available to adults 55 years old and older.  Some programs are open to all adults.

Please drop by either Senior Center for more information or call any of our staff at the numbers listed on the Home page.
