Senior Center Programs |
Congregate Meals:
A nutritious noontime meal and community fellowship is
provided daily, Monday through Friday, at both Senior
Centers. A variety of programs and activities are
offered such as health screenings, games, nutrition
education, and art classes. Contact Jeannie Ellington,
Nutrition Program Manager, at 542-4512.Senior Center
Activities:
Play bingo, quilt, garden, sing, hula hoop, take part in an
exercise class or art class or work out in the weight room.

Wellness Program:
Establish a regular exercise routine with low impact
aerobics, Tai Chi, Yoga, chair aerobics, step aerobics and
stretch & tone classes. The Senior Centers house
fitness centers with exercise equipment including weight
stations, treadmills, free weights and stationary bicycles.
Membership is available to the general public aged 55 and
older. Contact Dixie Sugg, Wellness Manager, at
742-3975 or Lindsay Straughn, Wellness and Activities
Program Coordinator, at 542-4512.
Health, Education and Disease Support:
Nutrition education, healthy lifestyles and diabetes support
are some examples of the education and disease support
programs offered at the Centers. Contact Jeannie
