24th Annual Chocolate Cake and Cheesecake Bake Off

Join the Council on Aging for their 24th Annual Chocolate Cake and Cheesecake Bake Off on February 12, 2012 from 3:00-5:00 pm at the Eastern Chatham Senior Center in Pittsboro.

With judges awarding prizes for best tasting, most creative, and most original cake and cheesecake, this mouth-watering event is sure to please! So please join us to sample the winning cakes along with coffee or milk. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children. And don't forget about the auction! Pam Smith of Beggars and Choosers will be auctioning off whole cakes to the highest bidders.

To enter a cake for judging or auction, please call Megan Coggins at 919-542-4512 by Monday, February 6, 2012 before 5:00 pm. Please have a description of your cake along with a name ready. The drop off times for cakes will be Friday, February 10 from 3:00-5:00 pm and Saturday, February 11 from 10:00 am -2:00 pm at the Pittsboro Center.

All proceeds from the event will support the Council's programs and services for older adults.

Dance in Siler City

Join us for our Dance on February 10 and 24, 2012 from 7:00-10:00pm at the Western Chatham Senior Center in Siler City. Live Band. Cost is $8 per person.

International Civil Rights Museum

Join the Council on Aging on a trip to the International Civil Rights Museum in Greensboro, NC!

Date: Tuesday, February 21, 2012

Cost is $18, includes transportation and ticket to museum. We will eat fast food lunch on the way to the musuem.

Leave Pittsboro Senior Center at 10:30 am. Pick up at the Siler City Senior Center at 11:00 am.
