Content Finder: Special Events

The Chatham County Council on Aging invites you to enjoy an evening of fine food, beverages, silent auction and entertainment at its 18th Annual Taste of Chatham banquet slated for Sunday, October 16, from 4-6 pm at the Carolina Meadows auditorium. Bob Garner, UNC TV personality, will serve as master of ceremonies. Hosted by Carolina Meadows Contintuing Care Retirement Community, the proceeds support programs and services for older adults and adults with disabilities, and mortgage on the the senior center in Siler City.

The Chatham County Senior Games will be held April 18 through April 25 this year.

Registration is open to all adults 55 years of age or better. All registration forms are due by Wednesday, March 21, 2012.

Competing events include golf, bowling, tennis, bocce, horseshoes, swimming, track & field, softball and football throw, basketball shooting, visual, literary, performing arts and heritage arts.
