Building and Facility Rentals

The Eastern Chatham Senior Center in Pittsboro was built in 1996. The Center is in a beautiful park-like setting on the north side of Central Carolina Community College campus. In addition to housing the administrative offices of the Council on Aging, the building has an exercise room, kitchen and dining room, gathering parlor, conference room and a rocking chair porch overlooking the grounds.

The Western Chatham Senior Center in Siler City was completed In November 2006. The Center is located in the Siler Business Park complex’s countryside setting.  The Center houses an exercise room, fitness classroom, banquet room with stage and sound system, dining room, commercial kitchen, activities classroom and conference room.

The primary purpose of both facilities is to provide sites for programs and services for Chatham County’s older adults. This takes priority over all other uses of the buildings.  Both buildings are available for rental for community and private events that conform to the policies and procedures of the Council on Aging. Both buildings are smoke– and alcohol– free. The maximum capacity of the Eastern Chatham Senior Center dining room is 100, and the maximum capacity of the Western Chatham Senior Center Holly Brooks banquet room is 175.

Net proceeds from rentals are used to sustain the facilities, including debt reduction, for their primary purpose. Please contact staff at the numbers provided above for more information
